Written by Daniel Barlow and Keith Moriarty and fantastic art by Matthew Reidsma.
The full three-page story will be in the next Trees & Hills anthology, SEEDS, out in late September. Deadline is Aug. 15th for comics and recipes! Details are at Trees & Hills web site.
I really can't say enough nice things about Reidsma, who has wows me daily with High Maintenance Machine. In a perfect world, he would be elected vice-president and solve our energy crisis with comics alone.
Also, please consider going vegetarian some thought. It's worked well for me for half my life.

These beats are big and dirty, just the way I like them.
That new Batman vs. Marilyn Manson and the Insane Clown Posse movie is pretty good.

Saturday was the annual Liberty Street Yard Sale in Montpelier, one of the local "events" I now look forward to - dozens of tag sales stretching nearly a mile down one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in town.
Among my finds was a small box containing two years worth of Jeff Danzinger's 80s comic strip, McGonigle of The Chronicle, clipped right from our local newspaper and my employer, the Times Argus.
Price? 25 cents.
Also nice to see Montpelier, Vt. get a mention in the profile of Frank Miller and The Spirit film in today's New York Times.
And this preview of NYT writer David Carr's memoir of being a crack addict has me convinced I'm buying the book.
"End-stage addiction is mostly about waiting for the police, or someone, to come and bury you in your shame," Carr writes.
Brutal stuff that, miraculously, ends with our hero doing okay.

This may be the happiest, most optimistic song I've heard this side of the Flaming Lips. It's also an incredibly catchy pop song. I'm bought and sold.
I'm hiding for a bit here. Please friend me if you want to read.
